I just got a copy of the prepared testimony from the GPO for today’s hearing in the legislative appropriations committee. (embedded below).
Notably, they discuss appropriations for the FDSYS system for digital government-wide documents access, and illustrate the efficiency that has come with digital technology. They also discuss web-harvesting, and the FDLP expenditures.
There’s a great chart at the end that explains how a bill becomes law, from the perspective of the GPO, showing how GPO is involved in each step. Unfortunately, the resolution is a little too low to make the document legible, so hopefully we’ll have a clear image in the final version of the testimony.

The “How a Bill Becomes a Law” chart is available as a very nice, very large poster and in classroom packs of about 30 letter-size copies. These are available as promotional items to Depository Libraries - for free. I suspect if there was demand from others, GPO would be willing to sell them through their bookstore.

I asked GPO about this a while back. They will be selling the chart. It is listed at bookstore.gpo.gov under What’s New, $8.00 domestic, stock number 021-000-00195-3. Doesn’t appear to be available yet but should be soon.
